For more information, visit our website at www.cimmyt.org The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, proactive, and initiative-taking professional for the position of Gardener/a to work within the Services Program for the Development of Sustainable Agriculture in Latin America and the Caribbean. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and care of the gardens and green spaces within the Center's facilities, ensuring their beauty, functionality, and sustainability. This includes tasks such as pruning, watering, fertilizing, and controlling pests and diseases. The Gardener/a will also be responsible for the implementation of integrated pest management (IPM) strategies and the use of organic and integrated production methods. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience in gardening or a related field. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills, are essential for this position. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines. The Gardener/a will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all aspects of their work. The position is open to candidates of all nationalities, and the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Center's facilities in Mexico.
