Pay Rate: $15.50/hr - $24.75/hr plus commission depending on background and experience. POSITION OVERVIEW: Guitar Center embodies the world of creation, where music and art come together. As a Luthier, you will be part of a team that is passionate about building and repairing guitars, basses, and other instruments. Your expertise will be used to create instruments that inspire musicians and music lovers alike. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Build and repair guitars, basses, and other instruments to the highest standards. - Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all instruments are built and repaired to meet customer expectations. - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of guitar construction, electronics, and repair techniques. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the music industry. - Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers are satisfied with their instrument. - Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. - Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards. - Perform other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of experience in guitar building and repair. - Strong understanding of guitar construction, electronics, and repair techniques. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
