Luthier - Base Pay Commissions

Pay Rate: $15.50/hr - $24.75/hr plus commission depending on background and experience. POSITION OVERVIEW: Guitar Center embodies the world of creation, where music and art come together. As a Luthier, you will be part of a team that is passionate about crafting and shaping the sound of music. Your role will be to design, build, and repair guitars, basses, and other stringed instruments. You will work closely with our team of experts to ensure that every instrument that leaves our workshop is a masterpiece. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design and build custom guitars, basses, and other stringed instruments • Repair and maintain existing instruments • Collaborate with our team of experts to ensure high-quality craftsmanship • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used • Maintain a clean and organized workspace • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies. REQUIREMENTS: • 2+ years of experience in guitar building, repair, or a related field • Strong understanding of guitar construction, electronics, and mechanics • Excellent hand skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in guitar building, music, or a related field preferred.
