Luthier - Base Pay Commissions

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr - $24.30/hr plus commission depending on background and experience. POSITION OVERVIEW: Guitar Center embodies the world of creation, where music and art come together. As a Luthier, you will be part of a team that is passionate about building and repairing instruments that inspire musicians and music lovers alike. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Build and repair acoustic and electric guitars, basses, and other instruments to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all instruments are properly set up and adjusted for optimal playability and sound. • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of instrument construction, materials, and techniques to ensure that all instruments are built to the highest standards. • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the music industry and apply this knowledge to instrument design and construction. • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers are satisfied with their instrument purchases and repairs. • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Guitar Center's safety and quality standards. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. • QUALIFICATIONS: • 2+ years of experience in instrument building and repair. • Strong understanding of instrument construction, materials, and techniques. • Excellent hand skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to lift and move instruments and equipment up to 50 pounds. • BENEFITS: • Competitive hourly rate and commission structure. • Opportunities for advancement and professional growth. • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. • Paid time off and holidays. • Discounts on instruments and equipment. •
