Lumber Grader / Lumber Quality Inspector (NHLA)

We are seeking a professional passionate about wood quality to join our expanding team. If you have prior Hardwoods Lumber Grading experience (NHLA  or Eu standards), graduated from the Faculty of Furniture Design and Wood Engineering Braşov, or possess solid lumber grading knowledge and are eager to learn more, we encourage you to apply!

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assure proper quality annotations of the lumber photos by the NHLA Rules.
• Conducting analysis to define specifications for labeling and correct quality classification of wood.
• Verifying, testing, sorting, annotating, sampling, and evaluating labeled data to ensure compliance with quality standards and to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
• Classifying and sorting lumber according to its quality.
• Ability to give written instructions in a precise, understandable manner.
• Ability to supervise, including planning and assigning work.
• Verifying the quality of work performed by the data labeling and classification team.
• Continuous communication with supervisors for feedback and improvements.
• Documenting and analyzing data and information requested by research and software development teams.
• Collaborating with the testing team to create scenarios needed for testing the information system.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• General Knowledge of wood anatomy.
• Must have general computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
