Loss Prevention (Security) Officer - The Warehouse, Northlands (Casual)

The Warehouse, Northlands in Christchurch, New Zealand is seeking a vigilant and professional Loss Prevention (Security) Officer to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers and staff while preventing theft and minimising losses.

• Monitor store activities through regular patrols and surveillance systems to detect and prevent theft, fraud, and other security breaches
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and customer service issues
• Conduct investigations into suspected theft or fraudulent activities
• Apprehend and detain shoplifters in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Collaborate with store management to implement and improve loss prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports
• Assist in training staff on security procedures and loss prevention techniques
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a security presence
