Senior Databricks Data Engineer Pune, India 12 Months Contract WebEx Interview Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Databricks Data Engineer to provide technical leadership on a major data platform transformation initiative. This role will lead and execute the migration of a large-scale Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse ecosystem—including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS—onto the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on data engineering expertise with architectural thinking and strong communication skills to drive this complex project forward. Key responsibilities include: • Providing technical leadership on the migration of a large-scale Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse ecosystem onto the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. • Leading and executing the migration, including designing and implementing data pipelines, data quality control, and data governance. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. • Developing and maintaining technical documentation for the migrated platform. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including Lakehouse Platform, Spark, and Scala. • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS. • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data quality control, and data governance. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
