Longgrass Mowing- General Gardener

Position: General Gardener

Reports To: Gerard Van Wees

Hours of Work. 40 hrs per week. Monday to Friday. 7.00am to 3.00pm

Wage/Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year.

Requirement:

1. Perform all duties to the best of your abilities.
2. Follow all health and safety directions and comply with relevant workplace health and safety Legislation.
3. Follow all reasonable directions from the employer as well as complying with procedures and company policy.

Main Duties:

1. Carry out general garden duties, including weeding, mowing, edging and pruning.
2. Plant and care for shrubs, trees and turf.
3. Monitor and maintain garden health by identifying pests, weeds and disease and providing appropriate treatment.
4. Operate and maintain garden equipment safely and effectively.
5. Maintain and repair all components of the irrigation systems including valves, controllers, sprinklers and pipes.
6. Recommend and adjust run times as per water requirements of gardens.
7. Seasonal garden cleanups as required.
8. Lawn care, mowing at correct height, provide fertiliser as required.
9. Tree pruning and removal of small trees as required.
10. Hedging on a regular basis to select plants as required.
