Train Driver (m/f/d) – €4,300 gross from 5 years of experience + allowances in Hamburg

As a trained train driver with a valid traction vehicle driver's license, you ensure safe, punctual train journeys from Hamburg for FlixTrain and support on other routes nationwide if needed. Your work is essential for smooth passenger operations and a reliable travel experience. You take responsibility for thousands of travelers and ensure every day that sustainable mobility on the rails functions. You are the heart of our operation!

• Independently conduct train journeys in passenger transport – always in compliance with regulations and safely
• Operate our trains from Berlin on the nationwide FlixTrain network
• Communicate reliably with the control center, colleagues, and passengers
• Ensure safe, punctual, and economical train operation
• Undertake preparatory and concluding activities to ensure operational readiness
• Support Flix in shift work, including weekends and public holidays – within flexible duty rosters
• Actively contribute to positive and professional passenger communication

About You

What you bring:

• Completed training as a traction vehicle driver
• Valid driver's license TfV Class A+B1 or VDV 753 Class 3
• Very good German language skills (min. B2)
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Willingness to stay overnight for assignments in other cities

This would be desirable:

• Ideally, several years of experience in railway operations, preferably in passenger transport
• Experience with locomotive-hauled passenger trains (ideally BR 193, BR 182) is desirable but can also be retrained
• A certification for LZB and ETCS is advantageous but can be retrained
• Route knowledge in your region is an advantage
• High safety and responsibility awareness, as well as service orientation and teamwork skills
• Motivation to be part of a sustainable mobility transition

• Salary: Earn approximately €4,300 gross per month (from 5 years of professional experience) plus attractive allowances on top!
