What will you do?

As a Logistics and Facilities Employee, you are responsible for ensuring an organized, safe, and efficient work environment. You ensure that materials, tools, and facilities are available and in order on time, so that colleagues can perform their tasks problem-free and on schedule. This directly contributes to our technical top quality and customer-oriented service.

  • Timely availability of (standard) materials and tools;
  • Proactive communication regarding deliveries, including any delays and necessary actions;
  • Numerical administration of incoming and outgoing goods;
  • Caring for a neat and tidy work environment where colleagues have a pleasant and safe working environment.

Place in the Organization

You will work independently within the facilities and logistics domain and are a crucial link between execution, procurement, and project management. You are responsible for your own processes and work closely with the Operations Manager, workshop manager, and project leaders.

Overview of Main Responsibilities

A. Logistics Tasks

  • Inventory Management: Determining inventory levels and ordering quantities in consultation with the head office (Niek);
  • Orders & Deliveries: Placing orders (according to contracts or in consultation), tracking delivery times, and timely escalating problems;
  • Incoming & Outgoing Goods: Carrying out incoming control (price, quantity, specification), processing incoming and outgoing goods;
  • Warehouse Management: Keeping the warehouse orderly and overviews, including periodic inventory checks;
  • Project Support: Checking that all materials are complete and available on time for each project;
  • Towing & Transport Equipment: Loading/unloading towing equipment, reporting and tracking maintenance of transport equipment;
  • System Management: Ensuring an up-to-date and accessible communication system for inventory management;
  • Inspections

Caring for certified materials and ensuring everything is inspected on time and correctly.

B. Facilities Tasks

  • Work Environment & Cleanliness: Actively contributing to a tidy work environment (at least 50% of the time), adhering to the clean desk policy;
  • Cleaning & Property Management: Point of contact and tracking cleaning within and outside, reporting knotty points and communicating with involved parties;
  • Maintenance & Safety: Reporting maintenance needs and coordinating follow-up actions;
  • Alarm & Access Control: Point of contact for alarm notifications (during working hours), registrations, and sign-ins of visitors or external parties;
  • Initiatives: Actively reporting knotty points in logistics or facilities processes and proposing improvements (no functional feedback but process-oriented).

Job Requirements:

  • Educational Background: MBO Logistics level 3;
  • Techical Insight: Affinity with plastic processing and warehouse work is a must;
  • Athens for Detail: Numerical accuracy in warehouse work;
  • Certifications: Forklift driver training and a basic safety course (VCA);
  • Personal Characteristics: Adequate, team player, initiative-taker, perseverance, flexible, and collegial
  • Experience: Experience in a similar function is a plus.
