Logistics Supervisor - Railway

Logistics Supervisor - Railway

Primary Function:

Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the railway team, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with established timelines for each type of operation, with the objective of optimizing the flow of products and services throughout our logistics chain.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Logistics Coordination of Railway Operations: Ensure adequate supply of products to the different Distribution Centers (CEDIS), maximizing team efficiency and productivity in all railway-related operations.
2. Proactive Management of Loading and Unloading Movements: Coordinate with Internal Logistics and user Plants to ensure that loading and unloading movements are carried out on time, avoiding delays and optimizing transportation scheduling.
3. Management of Claims for Delays: Generate and manage claims for delays with different railway operators, as applicable, to ensure compliance with established deadlines.
4. Compliance with Indicators: Comply with established indicators such as equipment utilization, compliance with the dispatch plan for customers and for internal transfers, contributing to the overall performance of railway logistics.
5. Support for Internal and External Customers: Provide constant support to internal and external customers, resolving doubts and solving any inconvenience that may arise during the transit of railway equipment.
6. Incentivize and Execute Improvement Projects: Develop and implement projects related to the railway, focused on generating economic savings and improvements in customer service quality, with the objective of optimizing logistics processes.

Requirements:

• Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in railway logistics or in the management of logistics operations, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Specific Knowledge:
• Railway operation and logistics management.
• Coordination with carriers and railway operators.
• Management of performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation and logistics.
• Management of continuous improvement projects.
• Knowledge of loading and unloading processes in industrial environments.
• Skills:
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Results-oriented and continuous improvement focus.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Negotiation skills with railway operators and carriers.
• Languages:
• Spanish: Native.
• English: Desirable, basic-intermediate level.
