Hospitality and Outdoor- New Vacancy- Lodge Manager Emerging Wildlife Estate – Komatipoort (Bordering Kruger National Park) We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lodge Manager to oversee the full operations of a new, high-end lodge development. This role combines strategic management, guest experience leadership, and team development, ensuring the lodge delivers exceptional service in a unique wildlife setting. This is a rare opportunity to lead a lodge from its early stages, shaping operational processes, developing staff, and creating an unforgettable guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong understanding of the outdoor industry, and excellent leadership skills. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing all aspects of lodge operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. • Developing and implementing effective operational strategies to ensure exceptional guest experiences. • Leading and managing a team of staff members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. • Building strong relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding expectations. • Collaborating with the estate's management team to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies. • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. • Participating in budgeting and financial planning processes to ensure the lodge's financial success. • Identifying opportunities for growth and development, and implementing initiatives to drive revenue and profitability. • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at all times. The ideal candidate will have: • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field. • At least 3 years of experience in a lodge management role, preferably in an outdoor setting. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, including customer service, marketing, and sales. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong analytical and financial planning skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. • A valid driver's license and ability to travel within the estate.
