About the locum opportunities:

As part of the increased levels of support to our network, we are actively seeking expressions of interest from Practice Nurses looking to undertake a mixture of short and medium term locum opportunities. Registering as a locum can be a great way to get a wide variety of experience in different settings, make some extra money, and gain additional skills and knowledge whilst still providing best practice health care to the communities in Auckland.

When you work as a locum with us you get to:

• Specify the preferred locations you would like to work.
• Agree an hourly or daily rate for each of the locum engagements.
• Specify the dates you are available to work.

Once registered, our team can keep you posted of any matching locum engagements that suit your experience and availability.
The locum shifts are varied in terms locations, practice size and hours, ranging from a half day in duration through to several months full time. One of the keys to working successfully as a locum is the ability to hit the ground running and slot in seamlessly to a range of practice settings.

Our successful applicant will have:

• Current Annual Practicing Certificate from New Zealand Nursing Council.
• Experience working in Primary Care.
• Specialty knowledge and practice expertise in both an autonomous and collaborative setting.
• A high degree of autonomy, with great assessment and time management skills.
• Experience working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
