The Opportunity

From early 2026, Gorilla Jobs will be arranging locum shifts and contracts across:

• Emergency Medicine
• General Medicine and subspecialties
• ICU and HDU
• Anaesthetics
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Paediatrics
• Psychiatry
• Surgery (including Orthopaedics)
• GP VMO and hospital-based roles

Whether you are an RMO looking for your first taste of locum work, a Registrar wanting flexibility around training and exams, or a Consultant/Specialist keen to step away from a permanent position, we can explore options that fit your preferred locations, rosters and lifestyle.

Clinical Environment - What You'll Gain:

Eligibility Criteria:

• AHPRA General or Specialist Registration
• NSW Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete hospital credentialing and onboarding requirements

Location - NSW:

For 2026, we expect a strong spread of locum work across NSW, including:

• Metropolitan and peri-urban hubs - Western Sydney, Central Coast and other growing centres with busy departments and diverse caseloads
• Regional cities - Hunter New England, Murrumbidgee, Western NSW and Southern NSW, with base hospitals offering broad generalist work and good lifestyle balance
• Coastal and inland towns - Northern NSW, Nepean Blue Mountains and surrounding areas, combining hands-on medicine with attractive local communities
• Rural and remote locations - Far West and smaller sites where your work can have a significant impact and your scope of practice is often broader

You can choose to base yourself in one region, rotate between areas, or pick up occasional blocks around your existing commitments.
