Job description

We are seeking a Livestock Hand to join a family owned and operated enterprise based outside Dalby, Queensland. This position offers a genuine variety of work across feedlot operations, breeders and backgrounders, along with general property maintenance.

Key Requirements

Must have a maximum of 5 horses.
Strong cattle handling and horsemanship skills are essential.
Willingness to work across feedlot, backgrounding and breeding systems.
Competent in feedlot duties, property maintenance and infrastructure upkeep.
Minimum 3 years’ proven stock experience.
Driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and relevant references required.
Ability to work both in a team and independently.
Fit, capable, with a positive attitude and sober habits.
Must be honest, forward-thinking, and genuinely motivated to work.
Accommodation options available.
Must have your own horses. Please do not apply if you do not.
Ability to operate farm machinery and flexibility across duties.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that will see you involved in all aspects of cattle work, from the paddock to the feedlot. You will be part of a mixed operation where no two days are the same, gaining experience across livestock handling, property maintenance and machinery operation.
