My client, a well-established Waikato firm, is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join its growing disputes team.
This role offers steady, high-quality commercial and civil litigation work in a supportive and well-structured environment.
About the Role
You’ll manage your own litigation files while working with senior practitioners on more complex matters. Work will include contractual disputes, debt recovery, construction-related claims, insurance issues, shareholder matters, and general civil litigation.

About the Role
You’ll manage your own litigation files while working with senior practitioners on more complex matters. Work will include contractual disputes, debt recovery, construction-related claims, insurance issues, shareholder matters, and general civil litigation.
What You’ll Do
- Run commercial and civil litigation matters from initial instruction to resolution
- Draft pleadings, submissions, affidavits and legal opinions
- Represent clients at mediations, conferences and alternative dispute resolution forums
- Work closely with clients to provide clear, practical guidance
- Assist senior lawyers on larger or multi-party disputes
- 3+ years PQE in commercial or civil litigation
- Ability to manage files confidently and meet deadlines
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Clear, confident communication with clients and stakeholders
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset
