We are seeking on behalf of a leading technology group in the field of IT-Security "Made in Germany" a Linux Systems Engineer (m/w/d) with OS- and hardware-nearness.

Your Mission

You will work on security appliances that are used by companies and authorities - everywhere where stability and security must be uncompromising.

You ensure that a hardened Linux-based operating system is precisely adjusted to the hardware.

Your Claim
Each appliance leaves the house reproducible, tested, and technically implemented.

Tasks

• Further development of Linux distributions in the Red Hat environment (AlmaLinux, CentOS)
• OS hardening and adaptation of your own appliance operating system
• Hardware-near implementation and driver adjustments
• Integration of components such as displays, LEDs, and modules
• Development of deployment and packaging processes
• Participation in recovery mechanisms
• Scripting (Bash, partly Python)
• Safeguarding the stable integration of security software

Qualification

• At least 5 years of experience in the Linux/Unix environment
• Very good understanding of Linux engineering
• Pleasure in hardware-near work
• The terminal is your natural working space
• Structured, analytical thinking
• High standards for quality and stability
