About us: Centuria is a team of SysOps and DevOps engineers focused on one task – ensuring the stability and security of infrastructure. We guarantee the continuity of key IT services – it’s very likely you use systems that are under our care. Behind the scenes of online shopping, medical services, or popular platforms are people who take responsibility for stability and security. We carry out projects for brands such as Castorama, Medicover, Martes Sport, Indigo, or Elektroda, and Centuria was among the laureates of Forbes Diamonds. We are creating a team of over 20 engineers. We work as partners, responsibly, and without sweeping problems under the rug. What does this mean at Centuria? What awaits you here? You will maintain and develop the production Linux environments of our clients. Initially, you will focus on getting to know our environments, our way of working, and our AI assistant in the terminal. As your independence grows, you will take on increasingly complex tasks, automations, and participate in designing new solutions. Your tasks will include: Maintaining production, testing, and development environments based on Linux systems. Diagnosing failures based on available logs, metrics, and the monitoring system. Designing and implementing changes in client service configurations. Automating repetitive tasks using Ansible. Developing a chosen path, e.g., k8s, cloud, automation, databases, backup, or observability. Participation in additionally paid on-call duties – a few times a month, planned well in advance and with full team support. Participation in knowledge sharing – initially probably mostly by asking questions. Being part of the team and participating in jointly solving difficult cases. You will fit perfectly into our team if: You have at least 4 years of experience in independent Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu) in a production environment with external exposure, e.g., a web server for external clients. You have worked on physical servers: installed Linux, dealt with on-prem virtualization. Being part of the team and participating in jointly solving difficult cases. You have used monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana, Zabbix) to diagnose failures and assess system status. You know Ansible or one of its alternatives, e.g., Puppet, Chef, or Salt. You have had and enjoy direct contact with clients and work as a team. You communicate in English at a B2 level. We offer: Salary: 10,000 – 15,000 PLN net + VAT based on a B2B contract. Stage 1: Let's get to know each other If your profile meets our needs, we will invite you for an approximately 45-minute online interview on Microsoft Teams. We will tell you more about the company, the role, and our offer, and then we will talk about your experience and competencies. You can also expect a short conversation in English. Stage 2: Technical interview This meeting is divided into two parts. The first will consist of technical questions, while the second is practical – you will be given access to a test environment and will solve encountered problems. Stage 3: Culture fit meeting There will be a person from HR and the technical department at the meeting. We will talk about values, the way of cooperation, and organizational culture. This is also a space for you to check if our work environment is a place where you want to grow. You can also expect a few technical questions. Finally: feedback and decision Regardless of the outcome of the process, we will get back to you with feedback. We will jointly set a date when we will inform you of the final decision.
