Linux System Administrator

In the name of a technical system house with a focus on system development, technical documentation, and logistical data management, we are looking for an experienced person in the field of Linux system administration. Our client is an established, growing company with long-term prospects that realizes challenging projects for industrial and government customers. Due to the sensitive topic, the task is scheduled to take place on-site at the Kiel location. If you enjoy complex IT environments and want to take responsibility, we expect a secure and future-oriented task here.

Tasks

• Administration, maintenance, and optimization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
• Ensuring data integrity, security, and availability through appropriate measures and monitoring
• Management and care of the virtualization environment
• Performance analysis, fault diagnosis, and correction
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation as well as backup and recovery strategies

Qualification

• Degree in computer science or IT training
• Multiple years of experience in administering Linux systems, preferably in the enterprise environment
• Good knowledge of virtualization, network fundamentals, and IT security
• Structured, solution-oriented working style and enthusiasm for new technologies
• Very good German and good English skills in writing and speaking
