Linux System Administrator (m/w/d)

We are currently looking for an IT system administrator in full-time at our location in Wismar.

Tasks

• Linux-focused system management: You are our expert for the administration, maintenance, and security of our Linux-based server landscape.
• Support & Workplace Management: You support the IT infrastructure of our colleagues. Your focus lies primarily on Linux workstations, while you also provide support for our Windows clients. You should therefore bring knowledge in both areas.
• Server- & Network Infrastructure: You are responsible for the stable operation of our servers and the configuration and optimization of our network infrastructure. This includes firewalls, routers, telephone systems, printers, [...].
• Infrastructure Projects: You accompany new projects and actively bring your expertise into the further development of our technical services.
• Hardware Setup: You take care of hardware component procurement, setup, and troubleshooting, as well as peripheral devices.

Qualification

• Completed IT training or comparable qualificationExperience in administering Linux servers (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat)
• Good knowledge of Windows client support
• Experience with networks, firewalls, VPN, DNS, and DHCP
• Knowledge in server and IT infrastructure management
• Experience in hardware setup and user support
• Ideal knowledge of virtualization, IT security, and monitoring
• Structured, self-reliant, and service-oriented work style
• Good German and English skills
