Job description
You don't just want to keep Linux servers running, but actively shape, automate, and develop? Then you're exactly right here! In this role, you'll be responsible for a modern Linux infrastructure, bring in your expertise in monitoring, automation, and system optimization, and work closely with a collegial team. Tasks
- Administration, operation, and development of Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL)
- Monitoring of systems (Monitoring, Logging, Performance)
- Automating recurring tasks (Shell, possibly Ansible)
- User and rights management
- Backup, recovery, and patch management
- Collaboration with internal teams and external service providers
- Basic support for the Windows environment (e.g., users, simple AD topics)
- Documented systems and processes
Qualification
- At least 4 years of professional experience as a Linux administrator
- Very good knowledge in Linux operating systems, Shell/Bash, and networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with virtualization solutions (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V)
- Experience with backup and monitoring tools
- Fundamental knowledge in Windows systems
- Structured, self-reliant working style
- Good German language skills (at least B2)
Nice to have:
- Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools
- Fundamental knowledge in Docker / Container technologies
- Cloud fundamental knowledge (AWS/Azure)
- IT security know-how
