Line Cooks Toojay's is hiring cooks ASAP at our restaurant in the Wellington Green Commons. Our Line and Deli Cooks take pride in creating classic recipes and flavors of a traditional New York deli. This key role is critical to our success in executing the highest quality food with speed and efficiency. Since 1981 TooJay's New York-style Deli has been a fan favorite. With locations across Florida, we are famous for piled-high sandwiches, hearty portions of homemade comfort foods and made-from-scratch baked goods. In this role, you will: * Prepare a variety of food items, including meats, vegetables, dressings, and other deli specialties. * Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines. * Set up and maintain workstation cleanliness and organization. * Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. * Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards. * Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations. * Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. * Assist with inventory management and stock rotation. What you'll bring: * Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred. * Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
