Job description

Perform strength, durability, life assessment, and integrity evaluations for rotating critical engine componentsConduct thermo-mechanical Finite Element Method (FEM) analyses to assess stress distributions, structural behaviour, and component performanceDefine, plan, and support engine and component testing activities to demonstrate product life, integrity, and compliance requirementsSupport fleet management activities and contribute to in-service investigations of critical components and operational eventsPrepare technical qualification, certification, and compliance reportsAssess component deviations and provide robust engineering solutions and recommendationsContribute to the development, validation, and implementation of advanced stress analysis and lifing methodologiesSupport Research & Technology (R&T) programmes focused on next-generation propulsion technologies and engineering solutionsPlan and manage technical work packages, monitor progress, identify risks, and coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineProven experience in structural analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM), including the setup, execution, and interpretation of simulation resultsStrong background in solid mechanics, stress analysis, fatigue assessment, and structural integrity evaluationsExperience with critical parts lifing (CPL), durability assessments, and highly loaded component analysis is highly desirableKnowledge of component life assessment and certification methodologies is advantageousStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challengesExperience working within the aerospace, aero-engine, automotive, or other highly regulated engineering industriesExcellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and external work packagesStrong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary engineering environmentsFluent English, both written and spoken; German language skills are considered an advantage Exclusive access to leading companies and exciting projects through Hays, a reliable and established partnerFlexible working time account with the option to receive overtime compensationEmployer contribution to a private pension scheme (occupational pension plan)30 days of annual leaveFlexible working hours Our many years of recruitment experience and our expert knowledge of the engineering job market make us a strong partner for engineers and technicians.
