Lifeguard/Instructor

Position Posting Lifeguard/Instructor (1 Position Available) Term of Employment: Full-time, Continuing Current Location: Bioclean Aquatic Centre Rate of Pay: Band 2: $24.36 - $26.59 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Duties: The Lifeguard/Instructor maintains the safety of pool patrons, providing necessary supervision and protection for swimmers, in accordance with recognized Lifeguard procedures. Instructs the Swim for Life programs, of all ages and abilities. Duties Educate the public on pool safety and rules. Prevent accidents through proactive surveillance. Enforce facility rules and regulations. Provide emergency care, including first aid and CPR. Maintain a clean and safe pool environment. Conduct swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Maintain records of attendance and progress. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Hold current Lifesaving Society certifications: National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and Swim Instructor. Experience in a related position is an asset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Strong swimming skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
