Job Title: Lifeguard – (Civilian Swimming Pool Attendant) Location: Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC), Dartmouth, Devon Contract: 9 Months (01/10/2025 – 30/06/2026), Mon–Thurs 10:00–18:00, Friday non-working Pay: £15.40/hour Umbrella Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Lifeguard to provide professional supervision and support at the Britannia Royal Naval College swimming facility. Key Responsibilities: Supervise pool users, ensuring safety, preventing risks, and responding to incidents in a timely manner. Provide guidance and support to students and staff on pool rules and regulations. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the pool area. Maintain accurate records of pool usage and incidents. Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. Key Requirements: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. First Aid at Work certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Education/Qualifications: Level 2 Certificate in Lifeguarding or equivalent. Experience: Previous experience working as a lifeguard or in a similar role. Certifications/Awards: Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) or St John Ambulance (SJA) certification.
