The position:
As an Institutional Relations Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the development and analysis of public affairs that are directly or indirectly related to Volaris and the national aviation industry in order to influence in favor of the business interests. You will foster constant relationships with governments, regulators, legislators, chambers, and associations to strengthen Volaris' presence on a daily basis, as well as with the entire organization to align efforts towards the company's strategy. You will identify, evaluate, and prioritize issues for timely execution and the development of positions to mitigate risks and generate opportunities.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics, Law, Communication
- Desirable over 4 years of experience in positions related to Corporate Affairs in companies, mid-level in the Federal Public Administration (APF)
- Knowledge of public administration, legislation, and public relations
- High-level relationship building with key stakeholders and government entities
- Intermediate English knowledge (advanced reading and writing)
- Availability to work in person in Santa Fe, Mexico City
What are the functions?
- Constant, direct, and in-person relationship building with government stakeholders
- Coordinate with the internal team on content creation, scheduling, and management of corporate communication channels
- Generation of documents, presentations, and strategies to present to stakeholders
- Preparation of reports and follow-up on agreements, particularly for regulator meetings, especially on sustainability topics
- Support the development and execution of Volaris' value narrative
- Monitoring and analysis of Congress (Senators and Deputies)
