For one of our renowned clients, we are seeking a Head of Technical Property Management (m/f/d) in Hamburg, who will be responsible for a team and the technical management of an extensive real estate portfolio – primarily in the area of commercial real estate.

Our client is an established, supra-regional real estate company with a focus on residential and commercial properties in the rapidly growing healthcare market. As a pioneer in this segment, the company is an important partner for institutional investors who invest in sustainable and infrastructural projects. The managed real estate portfolio in Europe is in the double-digit billions of Euros. In Germany, the company employs nearly 100 employees and continues to be on a successful course.

The position is newly created and can be filled immediately or by agreement.

Responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the team in the area of Technical Property Management
• Overall responsibility for the technical management of predominantly commercial properties
• Planning, control, and monitoring of maintenance, modernization, and conversion measures
• Budget responsibility and ongoing controlling of cost development
• Tendering management: obtaining, reviewing, and awarding bids, as well as construction supervision and acceptance
• Management and quality control of external service providers and subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance with all legal and technical regulations (especially maintenance and operation of building technology systems)
• Responsibility for defect and warranty tracking
• Close cooperation with commercial property management and executive management
• Strategic further development of processes in technical real estate management

Qualifications

• Completed university degree with a technical focus (e.g., Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Services Engineering)
• Several years of professional experience in technical property management, with demonstrable leadership experience
• In-depth knowledge in the technical management and development of commercial properties
• Experience in project management and the management of external service providers
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Word); knowledge of relevant software solutions is an advantage
• Very good communication skills and a confident, solution-oriented demeanor
• Good English language skills, both written and spoken, are an advantage
