Head of Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering (m/f/d)

For an established medium-sized company in southwestern Germany, we are looking for a leader who combines in-depth experience in structural engineering with a passion for developing people, structures, and technical solutions.

Our client offers a long-term role with scope for professional and organizational design. The focus is on the further development of the structural analysis department, reliable calculation processes, and good collaboration within the team as well as with adjacent specialist areas.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will take on the technical and organizational leadership of the structural analysis and structural engineering department. You will coordinate tasks within the team, develop employees, and shape the future direction of the department. You will establish clear responsibilities, uniform working principles, and transparent technical standards.

You will be responsible for the execution and technical support of complex structural calculations. This includes evaluating decisive influences, managing numerical simulations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will consider technical quality and economic solutions in conjunction.

Another focus will be on improving calculation methods and workflows. You will further develop technical guidelines, drive forward suitable automation solutions, and support the advancement of structural solutions. In coordination with clients, external testing engineers, and internal specialist departments, you will ensure clarity and reliable cooperation.

Qualifications

• Completed Master's or Diploma degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in structural engineering and sound knowledge in structural analysis and design.
• Experience in leading and developing technical teams.
• Very good knowledge in the use of calculation software as well as experience with numerical simulations and finite element calculations.
• Proficient in handling relevant design standards and technical regulations.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach as well as strong communication and organizational skills.
• Very good German and English language skills.
