Job description

Do you enjoy working with customers, team spirit, performance, and the maritime lifestyle in our region? Then become part of our crew!

To strengthen our Sales Management department, we are looking for a Head of Sales Development (m/f/d) at the Bad Oldesloe location.

Responsibilities
  • You will lead and further develop the Sales Development department together with your team. Furthermore, you will shape and be responsible for strategic and operational sales steering, working closely with those responsible for sales, products, and other channels, as well as interfaces with other departments.
  • Together with your team, you will create the framework and suitable measures for customer-oriented and successful market development of all sales lines based on DSGV concepts. In doing so, you will further develop definitions of segments and target groups, integrate market and competitor analyses from market research, and jointly derive KPIs as well as product and price variations for all sales channels (in-person, media, digital) with stakeholders. You will significantly support the implementation of activities resulting from sales steering in close coordination with the involved departments.
  • You will advise sales boards and sales management based on sound analyses, derive measures for achieving goals, and support the operational steering of daily business.
  • You will develop segment strategies, product and price variations, and lead management rules together with the involved contact persons. You will prepare decision-making bases comprehensibly, contribute your expertise, and support implementation as a reliable contact person and business partner.
  • You will further develop omnichannel and digital sales structures and, together with the involved departments, shape their implementation. You will be responsible for multichannel steering and further develop lead management. Together with the responsible departments, you will ensure sales data quality.
  • You will manage cross-departmental sales projects and shape coordinated collaboration with the involved departments to optimize sales structures and ensure sustainable implementation of jointly agreed-upon measures. You will also participate in sales projects at the DSGV and SGVSH level.

Profile
  • You have a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • You have sound knowledge in the areas of agile methods, market analyses, and digitalization in sales, as well as many years of experience in sales and the implementation of sales strategies.
  • You bring together different perspectives, communicate clearly and comprehensibly, and develop sustainable solutions together with others – even across different hierarchical levels.
  • You have leadership experience and promote employees specifically, support their development, and create framework conditions in which they can contribute and further develop their strengths.
  • You analyze target groups, customer needs, and customer journeys, derive relevant measures from them, and implement them together with your team. You use data and market information to make sound decisions and translate sales goals into concrete steps.
  • You want to further develop the department together with the entire management team, actively contribute to collaboration, and shape new sales approaches.
