Head of University Library (m/w/d)

The Medical University Lausitz – Carl Thiem is a young university hospital and the largest employer in Cottbus with around 1,200 beds and almost 3,000 employees from more than 40 countries. As a major teaching hospital and university, we shape the future of healthcare provision in the model region Gesundheit Lausitz. We offer comprehensive maximum care with 22 clinics and 4 institutes for over 150,000 patients per year, as well as an inspiring environment for research and development. Our library is a central hub for information and knowledge, providing access to a wide range of media and resources for students, researchers, and staff. As the head of our university library, you will be responsible for leading a team of librarians and supporting the academic and research activities of our institution. Your tasks will include developing and implementing strategies for the library's collections, services, and facilities, as well as promoting information literacy and digital skills among our users. You will also be expected to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that our library is integrated into the overall strategy of the university and its research activities.
