Leadership of IT & Governance in the Energy Field (m/w/d)

In a regulated supply field, you will be responsible for the overall development of a security-critical IT landscape. The position combines leadership responsibility, regulatory control, and technical foresight in an environment shaped by statutory requirements and high demands on operational safety.

Your area of responsibility

You will be responsible for the stability, security, and regulatory compliance of the IT organization. In doing so, you will steer both internal resources and external partners, ensuring that IT structures can withstand the demands of an energy supply company in the long term.

In the foreground:

• Safeguarding a revision-proof and audit-capable IT structure
• Translating regulatory requirements into organizational and technical measures
• Leading a small IT team with clear result accountability
• Ensuring the availability of business-critical applications
• Guiding external service providers in the sensitive infrastructure environment

Information Security & Regulation

You will be responsible for integrating statutory security requirements into operational IT. In doing so, you will act as a link between departments, management, and auditing authorities.

Your focus lies on:

• Maintaining and developing an effective security management system
• Preliminary preparation and accompaniment of external audits
• Evaluation of risks in the context of critical infrastructure
• Assigning new statutory requirements and deriving implementable measures
• Advising internal decision-makers on security-related issues

Technical Guidance

Besides governance and leadership, you will maintain a comprehensive technical overview:

• Further development of the IT landscape in the context of network operation and documentation requirements
• Integration of regulatory requirements into technical projects
• Guiding cross-sectional projects with IT relevance
• Safeguarding transparent and documented processes

Qualification

Your profile

You bring experience from a regulated environment – ideally from the energy or KRITIS sector – and combine technical understanding with regulatory sovereignty.

Important are:

• Leadership experience in the IT field
• Practice in dealing with security and compliance requirements
• Understanding of operational processes at an energy supply company
• Structured and reliable working method
• Safety in exchanging information with authorities and auditing bodies
