Job description

The position is initially limited to 1 year. Subsequently, there may be the option to transition to a permanent employment relationship.


Responsibilities
  • As Head of the Meat Counter, you are responsible for ensuring sales standards in your department.
  • You will serve and advise our customers at the meat counter and take care of handling complaints and claims.
  • You will ensure personnel planning, task distribution, and integration of new employees within your team and conduct employee appraisals.
  • You will present the merchandise appealingly and ensure the implementation of promotional measures.
  • Your tasks include communication with purchasing as well as support in developing new work processes and their implementation.

Profile
  • You are enthusiastic about high-quality meat products and have completed training as a butcher, preferably in the food retail sector, or have comparable training or experience as a head chef – completed master craftsman training is a welcome plus.
  • From your many years of relevant professional experience, you bring sound product knowledge that goes beyond the normal range of a usual meat assortment (specialties, origin, cuts, etc.).
  • Appreciative leadership at eye level and trusting collaboration are important to you.
  • You have a solution- and results-oriented way of working and a high standard of quality.
  • Service and customer-oriented work as well as joy in advising quality-conscious customers are a matter of course for you.
  • Very good German and English skills round off your profile.
