Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Head of Accounting (m/f/d) to provide professional and operational support for our accounting department. This is not just about preparatory tasks – you will independently book and account for transactions, maintain an overview of numbers and processes, and be an important point of contact within the company.

We are looking for a communicative personality who combines technical depth in accounting with an open and binding approach. You enjoy working with people, take on responsibility, and actively contribute.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Work model: On-site – Home office is not planned for this position.

Responsibilities

• Independent processing of current financial accounting
• Independent accounting and booking of business transactions
• Responsibility for accounts receivable and accounts payable management, monitoring and processing of open items
• Execution and control of accounting processes with DATEV
• Ensuring correct and structured bookkeeping
• Support with administrative tasks and organizational matters
• Involvement in optimizing workflows within accounting
• Point of contact for internal inquiries regarding accounting topics

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in practical accounting
• Demonstrable experience with independent bookings and accountings
• Very good knowledge of DATEV (prerequisite)
• Proficient in using the SKR03 chart of accounts
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and open items
• Structured, meticulous, and reliable working method
• High degree of independence and sense of responsibility
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with other teams
• Willingness to take on administrative tasks in addition to accounting matters
