Accounting Leadership (m/w/d)

A customer is a company in the renewable energy and raw materials sector, working on pioneering technologies for a sustainable industry. With an international team of more than 400 employees from over 40 countries, it develops and operates innovative production facilities to make a significant contribution to environmentally friendly energy and mobility transformation.

Tasks

• Responsibility for the development and assurance of a legally compliant accounting system as well as a meaningful financial reporting, including consolidation of the group according to HGB and IFRS
• Assurance of timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closures of the German parent company
• Closely cooperating with auditors and external consultants in all accounting matters
• Alignment with the parent company and support in preparing the consolidated statement
• BUILDING efficient reporting structures as well as continuous optimization of software landscapes in accounting, in collaboration with relevant interfaces
• Total responsibility for all accounting processes and their ongoing improvement, including planning and implementation of projects

Qualification

• Completed degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting/finance or comparable qualification
• At least 10-15 years of professional experience in finance and accounting
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, HGB, and consolidated accounting
• Fundamental leadership experience in the field of accounting, ideally in a larger company
• Deep understanding of accounting processes as well as extensive experience with ERP systems
• Solid German and English language skills in writing and speaking
