Head of Digital Solutions (CIO)

Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, promotes science-based innovation for the Switzerland of tomorrow and helps start-ups and SMEs to seize future opportunities and be internationally competitive.

To anchor digitalization at the executive management level, Innosuisse has newly created the position of Head of Digital Solutions (CIO).

As a member of the extended executive management team, you will be responsible for Innosuisse's IT strategy, IT infrastructure, and IT operations. You will bridge the gap between technology and organizational goals, drive digital transformation, and further expand the Digital Solutions unit with the areas of IT Operations & Technology, Business Solutions, and Security & Governance.

Responsibilities

• Development of a digitalization and AI roadmap, closely aligned with Innosuisse's goals

• Leadership of digitalization initiatives and transformation programs

• Responsibility for the stable, performant, and secure operation on Azure and M365, including the further development of the core system "Innolink"

• Building and leading Digital Solutions with internal and external employees

• Responsibility for IT budget, investment planning, and portfolio management

• Responsibility for IT security, compliance, business continuity, and disaster recovery

• Management of external partners and execution of public procurements (WTO)

• Representation of digitalization and IT topics towards the executive management, board of directors, and innovation council

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or equivalent

• Several years of leadership experience in a senior IT role, ideally at C-level

• In-depth experience in IT strategy, digitalization, IT architecture, and transformation, including change management

• Experience with AI technologies and strategies, agile application development, and IT security

• Experience in IT service and project portfolio management, strong business acumen

• Ideally, experience with public procurements (WTO) and managing external development partners

• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, pragmatic implementation strength, high communication skills

• Ability to connect stakeholders and win over employees for change

• Enthusiasm for new technologies, innovation, and research

• Very good knowledge of German and English, as well as good knowledge of French or Italian

Work location: Bern. Full-time (100%).
