Aufgaben

Your Tasks:

• Zukunftsweisende Strukturentwicklung: You lead four engineering managers to professionalize the development organization with around 60 employees.
• Nachhaltige Produktenwicklung: You are responsible for the technological further development of the two established core products and actively drive the strategic change towards SaaS as well as the integration of KI in R&D processes forward.
• Vertrauensvolle Führung auf Augenhöhe: You live an honest leadership competence, make brave and quick decisions, and promote a transparent feedback and performance culture in the team.
• Strategische Qualitätssicherung: In close daily cooperation with product management and quality assurance, you ensure efficient, secure, and performant software delivery.
• Ganzheitliches Performance Management: You lead regular feedback conversations, accompany personal development, and are responsible for budget management in the salary area.
• Fundierte Architekturentscheidungen: You use modern tools like GitHub, Copilot, and Claude and make final architecture decisions considering information security and Security Development Lifecycles.

Qualifikation

You bring with you:

• Fundierte Führungserfahrung: Several years of proven success in leading multiple agile Scrum teams as team leader or department head within a grown product organization.
• Technologische DNA: A strong technical background in the field of B2B or B2C software, and ideally experience with Java backend development, Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Innovations- und Sicherheitsaffinität: Fundamentally knowing modern engineering practices, cloud SaaS solutions, KI applications, and a strong affinity to information security.
• Souveräne Persönlichkeit: A self-assured, decision-making appearance characterized by down-to-earthness, honesty, and a healthy dose of humility to earn respect on an equal footing.
• Starke Kommunikation: Clear communication in the international environment through negotiation-proof German skills at C1 level and very good English skills.
• Regionale Verbundenheit: The willingness for regular presence times of at least one day per week at the Berlin location.
