Head of International Service (m/f/d) - Special Machine Construction / Laser Material Processing

With our laser systems for material processing, we achieve the highest precision and processing speeds, making us one of the leading providers today. Based on our technological expertise, we are able to realize customer-specific applications and processes with pinpoint accuracy. Global customers, e.g., from the packaging, food, and paper industries as well as the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors, trust our solution competence. In the course of succession planning, we are looking for a dedicated individual for our headquarters in the east of Munich:

Responsibilities

• Motivating leadership and active support of our internationally experienced and decentrally organized service technicians
• Proactive planning and control of worldwide service operations as well as ensuring the highest level of service quality
• Comprehensive responsibility for the processing of service and spare parts orders in close coordination with service support
• Handling of service requests, including communication with customers, conducting technical clarifications, and deriving and coordinating suitable measures; continuous optimization of our processes
• Direct reporting to management, both on ongoing service activities and on the strategic further development of your area (regarding customer satisfaction, spare parts supply, capacity and budget planning)
• Future-oriented development and implementation of concrete measures, including concepts for availability, maintenance, and documentation, to strengthen customer loyalty

Qualifications

• You have a technical vocational training with further education as a state-certified technician or master craftsman (e.g., in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, electrical engineering) or a successfully completed engineering degree
• Relevant professional experience in technical service / customer support / aftersales of an internationally active company in plant/machinery construction, combined with initial leadership experience
• Very good knowledge of German and English, as well as standard Office applications, is a matter of course for you
• Communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
• Independent, structured way of working coupled with organizational skills
• Customer-oriented thinking and action, as well as a friendly and confident demeanor
• Willingness to travel internationally occasionally
