For the Hoffmann+Voss GmbH plant in Viersen, we are looking for a Head of Operations (m/f/d).

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the operational business of the plant – including production, maintenance, warehouse management, and logistics, as well as occupational safety and sustainable resource utilization
• Leadership, development, and organization of the production team, as well as ensuring efficient personnel deployment and shift planning
• Management and continuous optimization of production processes for regranulation and recompounding – from incoming goods through crushing and processing to extrusion
• Participation in the further development of products, processes, and technologies
• Responsibility for key performance indicators, measures for productivity improvement, as well as initiating and implementing improvement projects according to Lean and KVP principles
• Budget and cost responsibility, including investment planning, economic feasibility studies, and ongoing cost controlling
• Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational safety requirements

Qualifications

• Technical training or degree – for example, in plastics technology, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or production technology
• Several years of leadership experience in a manufacturing company, ideally in plastics processing or recycling
• In-depth knowledge of production management, process optimization, Lean methods, and quality management
• Solid business acumen – cost accounting, budget, and investment planning
• Structured and solution-oriented approach with a strong hands-on mentality, confident demeanor, and the ability to motivate employees and effectively implement changes
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken, as well as confident use of MS Office and ERP systems
