City of Energy and regional hub in full development Leader or Leaderess of the Financial Office (100%)The City of Payerne, a rising regional hub, has set itself the goal of offering its residents a high quality of life and promoting harmonious and sustainable economic development. To overcome the numerous challenges of a growing central city, the municipality is seeking a:Leader or Leaderess of the Financial Office (100%)Your Mission:As a leader of the financial office, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the city's budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources and making informed decisions to drive the city's economic development. Your tasks will include:• Developing and implementing financial strategies and plans that align with the city's overall goals and objectives• Managing and coordinating the financial activities of various departments and services within the city• Providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters to the city council and other stakeholders• Collaborating with other leaders and departments to develop and implement policies and programs that promote economic development and improve the quality of life for residents• Staying up-to-date with changes in financial regulations, laws and best practices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including local businesses, organizations and community groups• Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including city employees, residents and visitors• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of financial transactions and activities• Performing other related duties as required. Your qualifications:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field• At least 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a local government setting• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and integrity• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint• Familiarity with financial software and systems, such as accounting packages and budgeting tools• Certification in finance or accounting is an asset.
