Head of Network / Management Board Member

Job description

Head of Network / Management Board Member (m/f)

Head of Network / Management Board Member (m/f)

Our client is a traditional yet forward-looking utility company in one of Switzerland's most renowned tourism destinations. It ensures the reliable power supply of an extensive alpine region and operates a sophisticated network infrastructure for this purpose, from high to low voltage levels.

Its own hydropower plants and strongly regionally anchored energy production, as well as innovative solutions in the areas of heat, photovoltaics, electromobility, and intelligent energy systems, characterize the company.

For this strategically and technically significant key position, we are looking for an experienced and communicative leader who will head the network division and actively shape the company's future as a member of the management board.

Your new role

  • You will be responsible for the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of the power grid from the substation to the house connection, as well as control technology, metering, and sovereign tasks.
  • You will lead four departments with a total of approximately 25 employees, further develop the network division, and ensure a performant and future-proof organization.
  • You will develop the network strategy, considering the energy transition, digitalization, and decentralization, and implement it with your team.
  • You will actively participate in significant future projects such as data centers, battery storage, alpine PV systems, and voltage conversions.
  • You will coordinate and manage external partners who systematically support your division in fulfilling its tasks.
  • You will foster a positive corporate culture and, as a member of the management board, actively shape the strategy in the interplay of supply security, economic efficiency, and sustainability.

What sets you apart

  • An electrical or energy engineering degree or a master craftsman's examination forms your professional foundation, which you have supplemented with business administration competencies.
  • You have gained in-depth professional experience in the energy industry, for example, at a utility company, a grid operator, or an engineering or infrastructure company, ideally in a comparable position.
  • You are accustomed to leading larger teams clearly, approachably, and solution-orientedly, promoting the autonomy of your employees and creating a motivating work environment.
  • You appreciate simple structures and feel at home in the SME environment.
  • As a pragmatic and practice-oriented doer with good communication skills, you will fit well into the company.
  • You understand the interrelationships of a modern utility company and are interested not only in network topics but also in economic, digital, regulatory, and entrepreneurial issues.

Our attractive offer

  • As a sports-enthusiast and nature-loving personality, you will benefit from the diverse leisure opportunities of an alpine tourism region.
  • The ongoing digitalization, increasing decentralization, and greater market orientation in the energy sector offer you a multifaceted role.
  • You can look forward to generous employment conditions with trust-based working hours, six to seven weeks of vacation, an attractive salary with a bonus, home office, and very good social benefits.
  • You will receive significant scope for design in major network projects and the further development of regional energy supply.
  • Become part of an established, successful, and innovative company now – we look forward to hearing from you!
