Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for finance and accounting, including continuous optimization and digitalization of all accounting processes
• Technical and disciplinary: Leadership and development of a team of specialists
• Optimization of structures and processes in the entire finance department
• Responsibility for the preparation and creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Preparation of annual financial statements for parent and, if applicable, subsidiary companies within the group
• Ensuring the entire bookkeeping for parent and, if applicable, subsidiary companies within the group
• Contact person for accounting topics and questions of tax law
• Preparation of monthly VAT pre-declarations
• External and internal reporting
• Liquidity management: Control and optimization of payment transactions as well as result-optimized processes in accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• KPI controlling: Development, further development, and responsibility for KPI-based controlling of the finance department
• Controlling based on cost and performance accounting for the e-commerce / financial sector – in coordination with management
• Sparring partner for management for strategic decisions in short-term and long-term planning
• Contact person for shareholders, auditors, tax advisors, banks, insurance companies, and authorities

Qualifications

• Completed business administration degree with a focus on finance / controlling / accounting or a comparable qualification (e.g., certified accountant / tax specialist)
• Several years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in e-commerce or retail environment
• Proven leadership experience and enjoyment in developing a team
• Proficient in accounting according to HGB (group financial statements a plus) as well as relevant tax law
• Strong affinity for key figures and data-driven steering; proficient in building, analyzing, and interpreting financial KPIs
• High IT and digitalization affinity; proficient in using DATEV and/or common ERP / accounting systems
• Analytical, structured, and entrepreneurial mindset – hands-on and solution-oriented
• Fluent German; good English is an advantage
• Available on short notice or soon
