Leader Main Book & Shared Services (m/w/d)

We are looking for an experienced leader in the field of financial and accounting services for a globally operating industrial company with its headquarters in Hamburg. In this key role, you will take over the leadership of the General Ledger team within the Shared Service Center and ensure that all accounting processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your Tasks

• Leadership and development of a team of GL accountants, including coaching and motivation.
• Responsibility for the complete processing of main book processes: entries, allocations, balance sheet adjustments, and fixed asset accounting.
• Surety of timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closures in accordance with IFRS and HGB.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Controlling, Group Accounting, and external auditors.
• Identification of optimization potential and use of modern automation tools (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, AI).

Your Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; additional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA or Certified Accountant are advantageous.
• 7-10 years of professional experience in accounting, particularly in the area of main book and record-to-report.
• Leadership experience and in-depth knowledge of IFRS, HGB, and SAP FI/CO.
• Analytical and process-oriented working style, paired with communication skills.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
