Financial Manager (m/w/d)

An industrial company with a seat in the South Harz region is looking for an experienced Financial Manager (m/w/d). The company, which has been around for decades and stands for innovation, quality, and reliability, has a very stable accounting team with a very low turnover rate.

In the context of succession planning, we are seeking a qualified Financial Manager (m/w/d) to take over not only technical responsibility, especially in the context of closing accounts, but also serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in the financial sector.

Tasks

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB & IFRS) for the domestic parent company. Additionally, you will coordinate the annual financial statement of a small foreign subsidiary and contribute to international consolidation.
• Implementation and ongoing conduct of a group reporting system in an international environment
• Fundamental and disciplinary leadership of an experienced two-person team consisting of accounting and controlling. Regularly, an apprentice (m/w/d) is also active in the department.
• Commentary on financial statements and close coordination with management
• Planning and steering of liquidity
• Analysis of cost developments, budget planning, preparation of evaluations and key figure reports
• Counseling management and participation in preparing strategic decisions
• Preliminary preparation and possible attendance at bank meetings
• Tight cooperation with IT to improve processes and systems
• Option for proxy
• You will report directly to the company's management in this function

Qualification

• Completed business studies or equivalent qualification (e.g. accountant, tax consultant (m/w/d) etc.).
• Fundamental experience in preparing financial statements under commercial law, preferably with a background in auditing or consulting. But also an industrial background is conceivable.
• First or already several years of leadership experience and enjoyment working with an independent team
• Structured, reliable, and entrepreneurial thinking personality
• Excellent communication skills as well as sovereign handling of internal and external contacts
• Fluent English skills in writing and speaking
• Ideal experience in international cooperation
