Head of Financial Accounting (m/f/d)

Our client is an internationally active manufacturing company with more than 300 employees and several European entities. As part of an internationally positioned corporate group, the company combines medium-sized structures with group-wide requirements for accounting and reporting.

For the location in the vicinity of Salzwedel, we are seeking an experienced Head of Financial Accounting on short notice, who is deeply rooted in accounting, actively participates, and takes responsibility for closing, processes, and quality.

• Responsibility for general ledger and sub-ledgers
• Active participation in monthly and annual closings
• Ensuring accounting in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
• Support with IFRS transfers and international reporting requirements
• Handling complex booking and accounting issues
• Ensuring deadlines, quality, and complete documentation

• Completed commercial apprenticeship with further qualification as a Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in financial accounting
• Very secure and practically applied HGB knowledge
• Experience with monthly and annual closings
• IFRS knowledge is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
• Initial professional or disciplinary leadership experience is desirable

You have a strong hands-on mentality and actively engage in complex bookings and closing issues. You will provide professional support to the team and consistently prepare necessary decisions.
