Head of Controlling (m/f/d) - Production | 100% | Region: Lake Constance Area, AU

Do you want to shape controlling rather than just manage it? In this role, you will be responsible for the production controlling of a medium-sized manufacturing company, lead a small team, and simultaneously be the controlling link for the subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

Your tasks

• You will scrutinize production costs and processes, further develop relevant key figures, and derive concrete recommendations for action – including responsibility for daily and batch-related production accounting.
• You will manage cost and performance accounting, be responsible for the calculation of manufacturing costs, and create transparency through plan-actual comparisons and deviation analyses.
• You will support foreign subsidiaries from a controlling perspective: plausibilize results, track key figures and measures, and harmonize controlling standards group-wide.
• You will prepare and comment on monthly reporting and actively participate in budget planning and forecasts.
• You will refine methods and processes, support audits and ERP projects, and work closely with production, procurement, sales, finance, and international locations.
• You will lead the team, set clear priorities – and also get hands-on in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Your profile

• Completed degree or a comparable higher professional qualification, plus at least five years of experience in controlling.
• Solid practical experience in production controlling and cost accounting, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
• Initial leadership experience is desirable.
• Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor M3, Microsoft Dynamics) and common controlling/BI tools, as well as complex data volumes.
• Very good German and English language skills.
• Analytical and pragmatic at the same time, clear in communication, team-oriented, and solution-oriented.
