Accounting and Finance Manager (m/w/d)

Farmers Food is a mid-sized family-owned company with its headquarters in the Münsterland region. 40 colleagues currently ensure a smooth workflow and excellent service for our customers. Flat hierarchies and a relaxed work atmosphere are part of our daily routine. To strengthen our growing team, we are looking for an accountant.

Aufgaben

• Responsibility for the financial and accounting affairs as well as controlling of Farmers Food and Farmers Petfood GmbH.
• BUILDING, LEADING AND DEVELOPING YOUR TEAM – FROM SELECTING NEW COLLEAGUES TO INDIVIDUAL FOSTERING.
• Responsibility for timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitoring all accounting activities (main book, creditors, debtors, fixed asset accounting) as well as setting up a standardized reporting system.
• Analysis of operational and free cash flows and derivation of recommendations for management.
• Participation in standardizing and digitalizing accounting and cash flow processes across all companies.
• Preparation and presentation of regular financial reports.
• Contact person for tax consultants, auditors, and authorities; ensuring compliance with all tax and commercial law requirements.
• Promoting automation and digitalization in accounting.

Qualifikation

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent qualification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant, Tax Consultant).
• Multiple years of leadership experience in accounting, preferably in a mid-sized company group or IT/service sector.
• Excellent knowledge of commercial and tax law (HGB), IFRS knowledge an asset.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, DATEV) as well as MS 365; experience with LucaNet or willingness to quickly get up to speed.
• Understanding of the connections between balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow – and the ability to derive concrete measures from this.
• Outstanding leadership skills: clear, empathetic communication and joy in developing employees.
• Analytical, strategic thinking paired with practical implementation competence.
• Willingness to act as a sparring partner for management and actively drive digitalization in accounting forward.
• High willingness to critically question existing processes.
