Head of Accounting and Tax Banking (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership and development of a team in the finance department
  • Responsibility for the general and subsidiary ledger (incl. fixed assets, accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting)
  • Preparation of annual, monthly and quarterly financial statements according to HGB as well as reconciliation calculations according to IFRS
  • Creation and further development of financial reports, dashboards and analyses for management and the supervisory board
  • Optimization and digitalization of finance and reporting processes as well as further development of the management information system
  • Analysis and implementation of new requirements into existing processes, especially when integrating new products (NPP)
  • Processing of issues relating to accounting and valuation according to HGB as well as accelerating the preparation of financial statements
  • Independent execution and support of projects in the finance department
  • Preparation of tax returns (Kest, USt.) and preparation of documents for the tax advisor

Qualifications

  • Completed studies in the field of economics, accounting, finance or comparable qualification
  • Extensive industry knowledge in the banking sector, particularly with regard to regulatory requirements, accounting and valuation
  • Profound professional experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience in the management and development of teams as well as strong leadership skills
  • Sound knowledge of HGB and IFRS as well as tax law (Kest, USt.)
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Very good analytical skills and experience in working with Excel
  • Affinity for digital technologies and process optimization
  • Excellent English and German skills, both written and spoken
