Leading Project Manager (m/w/d) – S/4HANA Finance Transformation (Ref.Nr.: 46691)

We are looking for a Principal Project Manager to support an extensive IT transformation program (S4/HANA introduction) in the financial field. The focus lies on strategic steering, methodical design of the multi-project management system, and further development of the central Program Management Office (PMO) in a complex environment with numerous stakeholders.

Your tasks

• Clarification and consultation with the client regarding goal definition and project design, as well as conception of a high-performance project organization.

• Definition of project goals (Time, Scope, Budget) in coordination with the client. The final decision is made by the client.

• Creation of continuous transparency about the development progress through regular reporting after receipt of status reports.

• Tracking of the project plan regarding phase flow and deadlines, derivation of change requirements, consolidation of status reports from the client, implementation occurs through the client.

• Prioritization and focusing on the result-oriented creation of project artifacts according to previously defined goals from the project assignment.

• Presentation of results to the project responsible persons of the client with proposals for implementation, which is implemented by the client.

• Identification and management of project dependencies and critical paths.

• Review and re-evaluation of risk entry probabilities and adaptation of the action plan to ensure continuous progress and achievement of the overarching project goals.

• Compliance with project management methodology and best practices.

• Consultation and professional support for the internal program leader in setting up and strategically steering an IT transformation program in the finance sector with a total of five complex, interdependent projects, as well as coordination and integration of over 20 stakeholder organization units on management and C-level.

• Consultation regarding methodical conception and continuous further development of a multi-project management system including governance structures, structured steering mechanisms for project-to-project dependencies and risks, and support for proactive stakeholder management, including preparation for escalations at the board level.

• Professional support in conceiving, methodically designing, and further developing the overarching Program Management Office (PMO), including definition of KPIs, design of standardized reporting formats, and adaptation to changing business requirements; operational leadership and responsibility remain with internal responsible persons.

• Professional support in identifying and evaluating top risks as well as deriving suitable measures through involvement of task forces and focus groups; accompaniment of coordination processes in the context of company-wide challenges.

• Professional support in preparing decision-making bases, moderating coordination processes involving relevant decision-makers and committees, and professional support in documentation, implementation tracking, and reporting; decision-making authority remains with internal responsible persons.

Must-requirements

• At least 7 years of practical experience in change management at the program level with a focus on organizational changes, documented in the curriculum vitae.

• Experience with billing processes in IT companies within a corporate environment, proven through at least 2 references.

• At least 7 years of experience in setting up and steering large, high-complexity IT transformation programs with strategic relevance, documented in the curriculum vitae.

• Proven knowledge of the Market-2-Cash process in modern IT landscapes through at least 2 references.

• Secure handling on executive level and in corporate leadership circles, proven through at least 3 references.

• German language skills at the C2 level (approximately native-like language skills).

Can-requirements

• Proven experience in the fields of transport and logistics through at least 2 references.

• At least 7 years of experience in analytical handling of top risks, documented in the curriculum vitae.

• Knowledge of procurement processes in large IT organizations, proven through at least 2 references.

• Experience in steering change measures in complex transformation programs, proven through at least 3 references.

• Experience in operational implementation of change measures in complex transformation programs, proven through at least 3 references.

• Knowledge in the field of license management processes in large IT companies, proven through at least 2 references.
