Senior Physician Angiology

The University Clinic for Angiology at Inselspital Bern is part of one of the largest and most comprehensive vascular centers in Switzerland. We offer the full spectrum of modern angiologic diagnostics and therapy and treat patients with complex vascular diseases in close interdisciplinary collaboration with vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and other specialties. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced, dedicated personality with a clinical focus in non-invasive angiology.

• Professional and organizational co-responsibility in the field of non-invasive angiology
• Performance and further development of vascular duplex sonography and other non-invasive diagnostic procedures
• Care of complex angiologic patients in outpatient and inpatient settings

• Participation in the initial training, further education, and professional development of physicians

What you bring

• Specialist title in Angiology or an equivalent qualification recognized in Switzerland, federally recognized medical diploma
• Several years of clinical experience in angiology, preferably at a university or interdisciplinary vascular center
• In-depth knowledge of non-invasive vascular diagnostics, especially vascular duplex sonography
• Experience in the outpatient and inpatient care of complex vascular patients
• Completed doctoral thesis (Dr. med.); habilitation or comparable academic qualification is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German; Austrian knowledge is an advantage
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching, and collegial leadership
• Independent, responsible, and patient-oriented way of working
• Interest in clinical research and innovative diagnostic or therapeutic procedures
