Join our Legal team as a Working Student (m/f/d) and help us legally secure our activities in the German market – from pre-litigation proceedings to commercial contracts and legal analysis of new features. You will directly contribute to Qonto's legal efficiency and compliance, working closely with Sergej Peter Braun, our Legal Counsel Expert.

This working student position comprises 20 hours per week in our Berlin Mitte office.

➡️ As a Legal Working Student (m/f/d) you will

  • Support pre-litigation proceedings: You will assist with case preparation, follow-up, and structured documentation.
  • Co-create commercial contracts: You will draft and review commercial and service contracts, supported by legal tech tools like ContractPod AI.
  • Accompany corporate law formalities: You will assist with corporate law matters and formalities.
  • Legally review new features: You will evaluate new features for the German market concerning compliance and market readiness.
  • Support Operations and Customer Care: You will assist with complaints and pre-litigation matters together with the on-site teams.

  • You are studying German law: You are currently enrolled and have a good understanding of legal research methods.
  • You know the basics of contract law: You want to apply this knowledge to commercial contracts.
  • You are fluent in German and very good in English: You communicate clearly and appropriately with different teams.
  • You explain law understandably: You break down complex legal topics so that non-legal teams can understand them immediately.
  • You are tech-savvy: You are open to digital tools and motivated to efficiently use legal tech like ContractPod AI.

You will report to Sergej Peter Braun, our Legal Counsel Expert and de facto General Counsel for Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Serbia. Before joining Qonto, he was Senior Legal Counsel at Mondu (Fintech) and brings extensive experience at the intersection of law and financial technology. As a mentor, he will show you how to effectively support operational and product teams – expect real responsibility rather than background minutiae.
